4th and 5th grade
Each class participated in a compliment activity. During a class meeting the students practices giving compliments to each other. However, the compliment given COULD NOT be based on something physical (i.e., their appearance, their clothing, a possession that they have). Students were asked to base their compliments more on personality traits (i.e., You're so funny. You're always kind.), performance (i.e., You're a really great guitar player), something helping/service related, (i.e., You go out of your way to help others. You always notice when I am upset and try to cheer me up.), or other (i.e., I enjoy spending time with you.)
